Travel Channel fancies A Haunting

MIPCOM: US cablenet Travel Channel has greenlit a tenth season of its paranormal series A Haunting from US prodco New Dominion Pictures, which is shopping the new episodes in Cannes this week.

Production will start shortly on the show’s 10×60’ tenth run, with a premiere due in 2019. It is available to international broadcasters via New Dominion at Mipcom.

The show’s first season aired on Discovery Channel in 2005 before switching to Destination America for its fifth run in 2012 and latterly female skewing lifestyle brand TLC for season nine in 2016. Discovery acquired Travel Channel as part of its takeover of the Scripps Networks Interactive business earlier this year.

The anthology series depicts eyewitness accounts of possession, exorcism, and ghostly encounters.
