Tomorrow adapts Jackie, Janet & Lee

ITV-backed US prodco Tomorrow Studios is set to adapt bestselling biography Jackie, Janet & Lee: The Secret Lives of Janet Auchincloss and Her Daughters, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lee Radziwill for TV.

Marty Adelstein

The prodco, led by CEO Marty Adelstein, has picked up the rights to the book by J Randy Taraborrelli, who is on board the project along with producer Keri Selig. The latter pair previously worked on the TV adaptation of another of Taraborrelli’s books, The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, for US cablenet Lifetime.

Jackie, Janet & Lee paints a psychological portrait of two famous sisters, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Lee Radziwill, and their ambitious mother, Janet Auchincloss.

Published earlier this year, its content is based on hundreds of new interviews with friends and family of the Bouviers, including their half-brother, as well as letters and journals.

Taraborrelli and Selig, of Intuition Productions, will produce along with Tomorrow Studios’ Adelstein and Becky Clements.

Other adaptations of Taraborrelli’s work include After Camelot, which was developed as a miniseries by Reelz, and Jackie Ethel Joan – Women of Camelot which aired on NBC.
