TLC to put on Dress in Lancashire

Discovery-owned UK lifestyle network TLC has commissioned a regional version of its Say Yes to the Dress format to be hosted by stylist and TV presenter Gok Wan.

Say Yes to the Dress Lancashire (working title, 10×60’) was ordered by VP and head of channels Clare Laycock, with Charlotte Reid commissioning.

Deidre Dowling is the executive producer for TLC alongside Jo Haddock for Leeds- and Manchester-based True North, which will produce the show.

The series will unveil the inner workings of Ava Rose Hamilton, a well-known bridal boutique in the north of England, as it follows Wan while he seeks out bridal dresses for customers.

The former How to Look Good Naked host is also due to make a guest appearance on the current season of Say Yes to the Dress UK, which is based in Essex. TLC UK has been adapting the original US format since 2016.

Say Yes to the Dress Lancashire joins TLC’s wedding programming line-up including Second Chance Dresses and Olivia & Alex Said Yes, launching in late 2018. Say Yes to the Dress Lancashire will air in early 2019.
