Tiny Planets licensed throughout Europe and Japan

MIP NEWS – Cgi series Tiny Planets has broken the top four European markets, its coproducers Sesame Workshop and Pepper's Ghost Productions have told C21.

The series has now been licensed to France's Euro TV, Germany's Super RTL, Italy's MediaTrade and CITV in the UK, as well as being picked up by Japan's NHK.

The 65×5' series has also been sold to Discovery Kids Latin America, Australia's ABC, Canada's CBC, UBC Thailand, SBS Korea and Televisa in Mexico.

The series also recently launched in the US on Noggin, a kids' network from Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop. Talks are now underway regarding toy licensing.

The show is targeted at children aged three to six and follows loveable characters Bing and Bong as they explore the concepts of light, colour, sound, technology and nature from their white couch.
