Three Arrows lands at Wonderborn

Three Arrows coproduces The Baby Club for pubcaster CBeebies

UK children’s prodco Three Arrows Media has been acquired by Bristol-based media group Wonderborn Studios.

Manchester-based Three Arrows Media, coproducer of The Baby Club (CBeebies), Andy & the Band (CBBC/CBeebies) and Treasure Champs (CBeebies), was founded in 2015 by David Hallam and Jon Hancock.

The deal will see Hallam and Hancock remain with the company, with Three Arrows Media becoming a subsidiary brand in the wider Wonderborn group while continuing to trade under the Three Arrows banner.

Headed by group CEO Toby Hughes, Wonderborn Studios is a global children’s and family media group, specialising in the development, production and distribution of family entertainment and education-based media across multiple platforms.

Hughes said: “In Three Arrows Media, Jon and David have created a fantastic business and culture which aligns perfectly with the future direction of Wonderborn Studios. The focus will be to grow Three Arrows Media and invest in their capacity to create innovative and engaging children’s and family brands and content.”

Three Arrows MD Jon Hancock said: “When Wonderborn Studios approached us with this opportunity, it felt like exactly the right moment for us to join their expanding group and vision. There is a natural synergy and shared set of values between both companies. We are really looking forward to accelerating our plans for Three Arrows as part of the Wonderborn Studios group.”

The acquisition is part of Wonderborn’s strategy to extend its reach across a range of media and platforms, creating engaging entertainment and educational content with global appeal that aims to promote the values of human flourishing and inspire wonder across generations.
