The Hoobs invade Germany

Jim Henson Company's Bafta-winning live-action puppet series The Hoobs will finally arrive on German air later this year, after a deal between distributor EMTV, public broadcaster ZDF and kids' channel Ki.Ka.

Scheduled to air on the ZDF/ARD-owned kids' cabsat channel in October 2002, the series will then be broadcast on ZDF in Spring 2003.

The Hoobs (250×24') is a copro between EMTV-owned Jim Henson Company and Canada's Decode Entertainment. It was commissioned by the UK's Channel 4, becoming the largest ever UK preschool commission in the process.

It is currently on-air in the UK on Channel 4 and Nick Jr, and has been sold into 40 territories worldwide. EMTV holds certain European rights to the show.
