The CW’s Jane, Flash win full seasons

US network The CW has ordered full seasons of freshman series The Flash and Jane The Virgin following strong early ratings.

Jane the Virgin, which centres on a hard-working, religious young Latina who is accidentally artificially inseminated, bowed as The CW’s highest-rated show in its time period in two years.

The show, from CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros Television, in association with Electus, has been picked up for a back nine, bringing it to 22 episodes.

The Flash has been picked up for a further 10 episodes, bringing its total to 23. The show comes from Bonanza Productions in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros Television.
