Televisa, Universal forge drama pact

Universal Cable Productions (UCP) has agreed a pact with Mexico’s Televisa that will see the pair develop and produce two dramas.

UCP, the cable production arm of NBCUniversal, and Televisa USA, the Mexican broadcaster’s US production division, will produce Pantera and Allies for the US and other international markets.

Pantera is an adaption of the eponymous 1970s comic and explores the life of a martial arts fighter who is wrongly accused of murder.

Allies, meanwhile, is based on Argentinean sci-fi show Aliados and examines what happens when people of different races partner up with a group of aliens.
