Telemundo promotes for creative strategy

US Hispanic network Telemundo has promoted one of its digital marketing execs to oversee creative for the broadcaster’s programming output.

Angel Domenech becomes VP of creative strategy and will oversee the strategic creative approach, development and execution of shows and branding.

Domenech will report to Aileen Angulo-Merciel, senior VP of marketing and creative, and will be responsible for creative consistency across on air, off air and multiplatform.

He joined Telemundo in 2007 and was most recently senior creative director of digital marketing. Before joining the network, Domenech operated his own design and production studio in San Juan, Puerto Rico, producing TV movies, miniseries, novelas and docs.

Earlier this year the broadcaster’s studio arm rejigged its management team as part of a restructure under president Luis Silberwasser.

Perla Farias, formerly VP of novela development at Telemundo, was promoted to senior VP of scripted development and Carmen Urbaneja was upped to senior VP of scripted productions.
