Telemundo, Globo visit Colombia for drama

Brazilian media giant Globo is teaming up with NBCUniversal-owned Telemundo International Studios to coproduce a 10-episode series set in Colombia.

Jugar con Fuego (Playing with Fire) focuses on Fabrizio, an attractive and sensual man who alters the lives of three women living in the region of Colombia known as the Coffee Triangle when he arrives from Mexico.

The series is an adaptation of Globo’s series Amores Roubados and is exec produced by Marcos Santana, president of Telemundo Global Studios, and Ximena Cantuarias for Telemundo, along with 64 A Films’ Diego Ramírez, Nancy Fernández and Tony Plana.

The script was adapted by Julia Montejo and Jose Luis Acosta. Jugar con Fuego is shot entirely on location in Colombia and is slated to air next year.
