Tanweer acquires rights to Ruby Ring

Drama series Ruby Ring

Middle East distributor Tanweer Group has bagged the rights to drama series Ruby Ring following a deal with Indian-based distributor GoQuest Media Ventures.

Ruby Ring (95×45’) follows the relationship between two sisters and their mistaken identities. Following a car crash, the sisters are misidentified as one another by the authorities, leading one sister to assume the life of the other as they battle to regain their original identities.

The series is currently airing on Fox’s Arabic channel Fox Rewayat and is an adaptation of an original Korean series from KBS. It will now be shopped around the MENA region by Tanweer.

Commenting on the deal, Jimmy George, VP sales and acquisitions at GoQuest Media, said: “This deal is a breakthrough for GoQuest Media as the popularity of dramas from the CEE territories starts to take shape. The MENA region offers a huge opportunity and we look forward to bringing this gripping series to more audiences worldwide following this deal.”
