Fox Life in Italy has picked up a celebrity dance format from Netherlands-based Talpa Media.

Dance Dance Dance sees contestants attempting to re-enact famous routines while new technology recreates the original setting of the performances. It will launch on the Fox Networks Group Italy-owned channel this year.

The format launched at Mipcom 2015 and is currently airing on RTL in Germany, with a second season broadcasting on RTL4 in the Netherlands.

At MipTV in April, C21 revealed that UK broadcaster ITV was commissioning a local version of a celebrity dance competition format from Netherlands-based Talpa Media.

Maarten Meijs, MD of ITV-owned Talpa Global, said: “With the UK and China soon to join, Dance Dance Dance is making its way to key territories around the globe.

“The combination of extraordinary dancing and innovative technology truly makes it a unique show that has found a great home at Fox in Italy.”
