Cunningham, whose producing credits include hit ITV dramas Endeavour and Cold Feet, will also take on the role of exec producer across select shows in production.

As head of development, Cunningham will spearhead a range of projects on Synchronicity’s slate including Joseph Wilde’s debut horror series Clyde Waters, which the prodco is working on with a UK broadcaster.

Cunningham has spent more than a decade on various scripted roles, with script editing positions on shows including Channel 4 and AMC’s Humans, Channel 4’s Utopia and Sky Atlantic and Canal+’s The Tunnel.

She has held scripted development positions at BBC Drama and previously had a stint as development producer at Synchronicity.

Claire Mundell, founder and creative director at Synchronicity, said: “Deanne is a talented, insightful and tenacious developer with a host of brilliant writer, commissioner and talent relationships.

“We are thrilled to have Deanne join us in this senior editorial role, as we move our slate forward with a host of compelling projects, including Joseph’s unsettling and completely original allegory of toxic masculinity set on the Gare Loch.”
