Syfy US hunts ghosts down under

US cablenet Syfy has acquired an eight-part unscripted series that sees six ghost hunters from around the world join forces to investigate paranormal activity in Australia.

Haunting: Australia will air in the US next month, following the channel’s deal with Flame Distribution, the sales arm of New South Wales-based producer Flame Productions.

The show visits some of Australia’s most notorious ‘haunted’ locations to investigate paranormal activity and features Robb Demarest, best known for Syfy show Ghost Hunters International.

The series, which premiered on Syfy down under last year, joins other international and domestic acquisitions on Syfy in the US such as Lost Girl, Bitten, Continuum, Olympus and Dark Matter.
