SVT hosts Hollywood Game Night

Swedish pubcaster SVT has ordered a local version of celebrity-led gameshow format Hollywood Game Night from NBCUniversal International Formats.

Produced in-house by SVT Göteborg, the 10×60′ Swedish version will be titled Alla för en (All for One) and will air on SVT1 in September. It will also be made available on the broadcaster’s SVoD platform, SVT Play. Swedish actor Katrin Sundberg will host.

The deal marks the 19th international version of the format, which sees celebrity teams, led by members of the public, competing in various games and challenges.

The show has also been produced in France, Spain, Russia, Turkey and French-speaking Canada.

Created by actor/producer Sean Hayes (Will & Grace) and producer Todd Milliner, Hollywood Game Night was inspired by the duo’s real-life cocktail-party game nights.

The US show has been airing on NBC since 2013. All five seasons have been produced by Hazy Mills Production, Mission Control Media and Universal TV, with the show fronted by actor Jane Lynch. A sixth season was greenlit in March.

“It is impossible not to be caught up in the combination of smart and entertaining games, and we are hopeful that this show will be liked by the whole family, especially since it is based on current pop culture,” said Christina Hill, head of entertainment at SVT in Göteborg.
