Superights sales manager joins Xilam

Xilam is behind toons such as Oggy & the Cockroaches

Xilam Animation in France has appointed a Superights exec as its senior VP of media sales distribution.

Safaa Benazzouz will join Paris-based Xilam on February 25 to handle the Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Southern Europe markets for the Oggy & the Cockroaches firm.

She will report to Morgann Favennec, executive VP of global sales development, and will be responsible for sales across Xilam’s portfolio of kids’ animations, which also includes Zig & Sharko, Paprika, Mr Magoo and Moka.

Benazzouz will work alongside Céline Carenco, senior VP of media distribution, who handles the Asia-Pacific and Northern and Eastern Europe markets for Xilam.

Benazzouz left Superights last week, having spent five years at the firm as sales manager for Asia, Latin America, Spain, the Middle East, Africa, in-flight sales and was also involved in acquisitions and global strategies.

The appointment reunites her with Favennec, who founded Superights in 2013 before joining Xilam in 2017.
