Super Wings lands in Americas

Broadcasters in North and Latin America have picked up the animated preschool series Super Wings, a coproduction from producers in the US and Asia.

Sprout in the US and Discovery Kids will air the 52×11′ series, a copro by South Korea’s FunnyFlux (Tickety Toc), Chinese animation studio QianQi, Korean educational network EBS and New York-based Little Airplane Production.

The toon features an aeroplane named Jett that solves problems as he travels around the world delivering packages to children.

The show’s curriculum focuses on issues of creative problem solving and cultural diversity and the characters visit 52 cities in 45 countries over the course of the series.

South Korean firm CJ E&M holds the distribution rights outside of Asia and the Middle East and has previously sold the series to French preschool net Piwi+ and SVT in Sweden.
