Super RTL investigates GRB’s Case

On the Case explores murder mysteries

MIPCOM: German channel Super RTL has picked up a slew of factual programming from US distributor and producer GRB Studios.

Among the titles is On the Case, which explores murder mysteries through in-depth interviews with those closest to the case, examining the forensic evidence that helped to unravel the crimes.

Super RTL has also taken three crime docs: Stalker Files tells the chilling true stories behind celebrity stalking cases involving Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, among others; death row doc I’m Innocent focuses on Ecuadorian Nelson Serrano, who was accused of murdering four people in Florida; and Until Proven Innocent: The Hannah Overton Story is about foster parents accused of poisoning a four-year-old.

GRB has been shopping factual content to other international broadcasters at Mipcom in Cannes this week. Australian pay TV outfit Foxtel has taken Man At Arms, which looks at historical weapons and armour, while medical reality series Untold Stories of the ER has been sold into 126 countries, including to E.TV in Africa, which has picked up 62 hours of the show.

Finally, a timely doc for the #MeToo era, Beyond Boundaries – The Harvey Weinstein Scandal, has been picked up by M6/Teva (France), TV4 (Sweden) and Discovery (Italy).
