Sundance Now snaps up Swedish drama

AMC Networks-owned streaming service Sundance Now has picked up a Swedish crime thriller series for its platform in the US, Canada and the UK.

We Got This (6×45’) follows an American man living in Sweden trying to solve his financial woes with an unlikely solution – by claiming the SEK50m reward for solving the real-life murder of former Sweden prime minister Olof Palme that took place 30 years ago.

The series is produced by Banijay Group’s Swedish prodco Jarowskij and Film i Väst for pubcaster SVT and NENT Group-owned streamer Viaplay. It was created and written by Schiaffino Musarra, who also stars in the lead role.

Sundance Now will premiere We Got This in the US and Canada this fall, with the UK date yet to be determined. Banijay Rights handles the show’s distribution.
