Sundance London to return

The Sundance London film festival will return next year at a new venue, after this year’s event was cancelled.

Sundance London was announced at Mipcom in 2010 by Robert Redford and launched in 2012 as an experimental four-day off-shoot of the US independent film festival.

In previous years the event has been held in the capital’s O2 arena, but this year’s was cancelled without a reason being given.

The festival will be held at the new Picturehouse Central Cinema in Shaftesbury Avenue from 2016.

The original Sundance Film Festival takes place annually in Park City, Utah in January.
