Sundance, ITV move for Liar

SundanceTV in the US and ITV in the UK are coproducing a six-part thriller from Fleabag prodco Two Brothers Pictures.

Liar (6×60’), which stars Downton Abbey’s Joanne Froggatt and Fantastic Four actor Ioan Gruffudd, focuses on the relationship between a school teacher and surgeon and is billed as a thriller that explores the “devastating cost of deceit.”

Harry and Jack Williams will executive produce via their prodco Two Brothers Pictures, along with lead director James Strong. Filming will begin in London and Kent in November.

ITV’s new head of drama, Polly Hill, will oversee production on behalf of the broadcaster.

All3Media International negotiated the arrangement with SundanceTV and is handling international sales for the miniseries.
