STV names daytime, popular factual boss

STV Productions has appointed a new head of daytime and popular factual to oversee domestic and international growth.

Jim Regan has been appointed to the newly created role and will focus on developing new and existing shows while also overseeing returning series Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. Last year, pubcaster the BBC commissioned seasons 15 to 18 of the former and an eighth run of the latter.

Regan joins STV from Remedy Productions where he was head of Remedy Scotland, developing projects and executive producing Fifteen to One for commercially funded pubcaster Channel 4.

Prior to that, he was at FremantleMedia with a central role in the international team tasked with creating global entertainment and factual brands.
