StudioCanal promotes distribution execs

French production and distribution firm StudioCanal has made a trio of promotions, including upping a long-serving exec to oversee its international sales of TV series and feature films.

Anne Cherel

Anne Cherel has been promoted to exec VP of global sales and distribution from her previous position of head of international sales for current movies.

Cherel will report to StudioCanal CEO Anna Marsh, who said: “I am extremely proud to have such a dynamic executive representing our incredible and growing slate of TV series and feature films as well as our network of award-winning European production companies.”

Meanwhile, having joined the studio in 2016, London-based Beatriz Campos is being promoted from head of international sales for TV to senior VP of global sales and production financing. Campos will implement and deploy a global commercial strategy for the international financing and distribution of StudioCanal TV productions and third-party opportunities.

Another strategic move in Paris has seen Chloé Marquet promoted from senior VP of international sales to head of international film sales.

Campos, Marquet and Aska Yamaguchi – who was appointed head of international digital sales in 2017 – will report to Cherel.
