Studio Lambert signs Masked exec

All3Media-backed production group Studio Lambart has agreed a development deal with the showrunner of Fox’s hit format The Masked Singer.

Izzie Pick Ibarra has signed up to develop unscripted formats with the producers of The Circle (Channel 4/Netflix), The Hustler (ABC) and Undercover Boss (CBS).

Pick Ibarra moved to the US 15 years ago to launch and showrun Dancing With The Stars on Fox. She has since worked as a development consultant and producer for NBCUniversal and UTV, as an executive VP for Ryan Seacrest Productions, and as a senior VP for BBC Studios.

Masked Singer has become a global sensation since Fox adapted it from Korean format King of Mask Singer and is currently being adapted by commercial broadcaster ITV for the UK.

Studio Lambert CEO Stephen Lambert said: “Izzie is a huge talent in our industry and her enormous success this year with The Masked Singer confirms she knows how to turn a good idea into a mega hit.

“We’re delighted she has agreed to develop and produce her new ideas with us and to help sell and oversee some of our ideas as well. Jack Burgess, who runs our LA office, Tim Harcourt, our creative director, and I are all hugely looking forward to working with her on making some amazing television.”

Studio Lambert is currently producing Channel 4 format The Circle, which will be released on Netflix early next year, as well as new gameshow The Hustler with Craig Ferguson for ABC, and the 10th season of the Emmy-winning Undercover Boss for CBS.
