Studio Lambert lands Left Bank exec

All3Media-backed Studio Lambert has appointed a former Left Bank Pictures producer as its head of scripted production and has promoted two execs in a reshuffle of its senior team.

Julie Clark

Julie Clark has joined the London-headquartered prodco having previously overseen production of Left Bank series including Starz’s Outlander, Channel 4 anthology series Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams, BBC1’s The Replacement and ITV’s The Halcyon.

Prior to joining Left Bank in 2015 as production executive, Clark was a production consultant at BBC Drama, overseeing in-house series including Luther and Silent Witness. Before that, she spent more than a decade as a freelance producer, working on titles such as Whitechapel and Croupier.

Clark will report to Sue Hogg, head of drama, and Jo Crawley, who has been upped from head of production to director of production. Crawley had been in her old role since Studio Lambert launched 10 years ago, having previously worked with CEO Stephen Lambert at RDF Media and the BBC.

Additionally, Crawley’s deputy, Steve Hunt, has been promoted to the newly created role of head of unscripted production. Hunt joined Studio Lambert a year ago from ITV Studios-owned label The Garden.

Jo Crawley

“We’re expecting to ramp up our drama production over the next couple of years, so I’m delighted Julie has agreed to take on the challenge of ensuring we are able to deliver high-quality shows efficiently,” Lambert said.

“This re-organisation of the production side of our business means we are well placed to expand our output in both scripted and unscripted.”

The appointments come at a time of flux at executive level for the transatlantic company. In April, it promoted Jack Burgess to senior VP of development and current in the firm’s LA branch and Niall O’Driscoll to head of UK unscripted development.

However, Burgess has since taken on the interim role of head of Studio Lambert USA following the recent departure of Greg Goldman, who was president.
