Studio exec makes Discovery exit

The president of Discovery Communications’ Studios Group is to step down in September.

Lee Bartlett, former MD of ITV Studios, arrived at Discovery in 2010 as exec VP of global production management and business affairs, and was promoted to his current role in March.

His remit included overseeing the Studios Group, as well as production outfits including UK-based Betty and Raw and All3Media, following the firm’s takeover of All3 with Liberty Global last year.

Bartlett, whose next move is unknown, was upped to his current position following the arrival of former Core Media CEO Marc Graboff, who joined Discovery as president of global business and legal affairs, production management and studios.
