Story Lab goes Pulling With My Parents

Pulling With My Parents

UK-based content investor, producer and distributor The Story Lab is set to take a number of new formats to Mipcom, including dating show Pulling With My Parents.

The 60-minute reality dating format sees family members take control of their children’s dating apps, on the basis that no-one knows them better than mum and dad.

It is produced by Northern Irish prodco Alleycats Films and commissioned for pubcaster RTÉ2. The Story Lab will be rolling out the format globally.

Also on The Story Lab’s Mipcom slate is Undercover Twins (7×60’), which features a pair of identical twin sisters who pretend to be the same person, switching places throughout their time with eight eligible singletons. The original series was produced by Voltage TV and aired on 5* in the UK.

I Want To Have Your Baby (6 x45’) is a factual entertainment programme produced by Tuvalu Media in the Netherlands for local pubcaster Avrotros. It follows the journey of childless couples or singles as they make a final attempt to fulfil their dreams of parenthood.

The Story Lab is also partnering with Hunan TV China to coproduce a new entertainment format to be launched at Mipcom. The Sound sees two teams of four test their knowledge of movie scenes, TV shows, current gossip, various characters and comedic scenarios through a series of themed rounds.

You Are Not A Loan is a social experiment format created by Renowned Films and The Story Lab. Filmed over a year and following 30 people who live in the same postcode area, the format studies people’s relationship with debt.

Travel show No Sleep No Fomo (8×60’) is created and produced by Gleam Productions for Viu Asia. The show drops two celebrities into a city with just the weekend to complete the ultimate bucket list.

Don’t Say It, Bring it (20×30’) is a family urban gameshow, where contestants are forbidden from answering questions with words and instead must bring the object that best answers the question. The format, created by Phileas Productions, has already been adapted in five territories including the UK.

The new additions join the popular Ninja Warrior format on The Story Lab’s slate.
