Story Lab adds Fremantle exec

London-based investor, producer and distributor The Story Lab has appointed a former FremantleMedia sales director to a similar position covering Asia.

Geraldine Bravo

Geraldine Bravo has joined the Dentsu Aegis-owned company as regional content sales and acquisition director for Asia and will be responsible for recognising and selling global and local entertainment formats in the region.

Bravo’s Jakarta-based role will involve investment and acquisition, working with Asia-Pacific (APAC) producers to uncover and develop original entertainment formats in which The Story Lab can invest and distribute globally.

Previously, Bravo served as sales and marketing director for FremantleMedia in South-East Asia covering territories including Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. Prior to joining FremantleMedia, she worked in marketing and promotions at Indonesian satellite television and radio service MNC Vision (fka Indovision).

“It’s my aim to make The Story Lab synonymous with innovative programming and to be seen as a partner that provides solutions for all commercial, programming and brand challenges,” said Bravo. “I am proud to be part of a brilliant team.”

Donovan Castillo-Mohlman, president of The Story Lab, APAC, added: “As an exec who has an enormous wealth of experience working on big entertainment formats specialising in the APAC market, and coupled with boundless enthusiasm and tenacity, Geraldine is a huge asset to the team and we are very excited to work with her.”

The Story Lab, which also has offices in Shanghai and Singapore in the APAC region, recently linked up with Chinese outfit 3C Media to co-develop a local version of reality dating show Game of Clones.
