Still Standing drops into Portugal

Thailand’s version of Still Standing

Warner Bros International Television Production has acquired the local remake rights to an Armoza Formats gameshow in Portugal.

The company will work on a Portuguese version of Still Standing following the deal.

The show was recently commissioned for new seasons in Italy, Thailand, Vietnam, Mongolia and Mexico alongside long-running versions in Spain, Israel, Hungary and China.

The French version launched this week on D8 in access primetime, achieving 523,000 viewers for a 3.7% audience share making D8 the leading DTT channel in that timeslot.

The format was originally created by Channel 10 in Israel and July-August Productions. It sees 10 contestants compete in fast-paced trivia battles, with unsuccessful candidates dropping through the floor as they are eliminated from the quest to win US$1m.
