StarzPlay added to Claro in Brazil

Lionsgate-owned streamer StarzPlay is expanding its presence in Brazil via a carriage deal with local content-distribution platform Claro.

The deal will bring StarzPlay to the platform’s Claro Now service, which is accessible to Claro customers both online and as a mobile app. It will also be made available via Claro’s forthcoming streaming app Now.

StarzPlay Brazil will offer Starz original series on the same date as their US broadcast. The streamer’s catalogue includes series such as Normal People and The Great, with forthcoming titles including P-Valley, Power Book II: Ghost and The Spanish Princess.

Customers subscribing to StarzPlay via Claro will receive a 50% discount for the first three months of their subscription. StarzPlay originally launched in Brazil in 2019.
