The format is based on Jitan Seikatsu Guide Show (aka 26 Hours/Day) which airs on Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS).

SPT will be in charge of international sales of Time Is Money, as well as overseeing local productions of the format. The agreement was brokered by TBS’s format licensing agent, Bellon Entertainment.

In the format, the hosts introduce a panel of celebrities that show off their favourite life hacks, the little tips and tricks that have helped them get along and can also improve viewers’ lives.

Mayu Sunaga, director of international sales at TBS, said: “Following in the footsteps of our format giants Funniest Videos, Takeshi’s Castle and Ninja Warrior, we have high hopes that SPT can make Time Is Money the next global hit from TBS.”

The format was created as part of TBS’s partnership with Dave Winnan (Hell’s Kitchen, I’m A Celebrity), the former director of format development and production at ITV Studios who is now CEO of Little Delicious Media.
