Marsh now holds the title of exec VP of networks, Western Europe, and in her expanded role she will oversee all SPT networks across the region, including the recently acquired CSC Media Group and its channels.

The exec, previously SPT’s senior VP of networks in Western Europe, oversees Sony’s network services in the UK, Italy, Malta, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain and Portugal, including channel brands Sony Entertainment Television, AXN, Animax, Movies4Men, AXN White and AXN Black.

With the closure of the CSC deal, announced in June, SPT has added 16 channels to its roster and today said it is now the fifth biggest cable/satellite/multichannel player in the UK market in terms of commercial ad views.

The CSC acquisition expands SPT’s offering into the music and children’s genres with the addition of brands including True Entertainment, Pop, Tiny Pop and Chart Show TV. It also grows SPT’s reach on the Freeview DTT platform from two to four channels.

Prior to joining SPT in 2008, Marsh worked for WPP’s GroupM, where she was director of entertainment, EMEA, while her previous roles include deputy director of broadcasting and production at BSkyB and head of lifestyle and features at the BBC.
