SPT, Imagine tie-up for unscripted

Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks in Asia has partnered with a Singapore-based producer to bring the latter’s unscripted series to its channels.

SPT and Imagine Group will work together to deliver a pipeline of original series for AXN and Sony Channel, the first of which will premiere this month.

Interior-design competition show The Apartment: Rising Stars Edition will begin airing on Sony Channel, SPT’s female-skewing companion channel to AXN, on March 16.

Set in Malaysia, the format sees 12 up-and-coming designers compete for a grand prize of US$100,000. Celebrity judges on board include Jamie Durie, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Genevieve Gorder. The series will also be repeated on AXN during the weekend.

Other shows to air on SPT’s local channels as part of the deal include the martial arts-focused reality series The Challenger as well as Fit for Fashion.

The latter format aims to turn 14 men and women from around the world into fit, stylish and confident individuals through a series of competitions.
