Spanish nets bolster OTT service Vemox

US media company Olympusat has added three Spanish channels to its white-label OTT service, Vemox.

The Spanish-language faith and family networks distribution specialist has picked up CincoMAS, Non Stop People and Iberalia.

The move gives Vemox audiences access to entertainment ranging from nature and outdoor recreation documentaries to sport, drama and entertainment news. The channels are distributed in the US by TV services company ATM Broadcast.

Mediaset-owned CincoMAS provides fiction, entertainment and news content, while Iberalia offers documentaries about hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Non Stop People, a joint-venture from Banijay Group and French prodco Mediatic System, is a youth-oriented channel, focusing on pop culture such as music, style, movies and social media.

Vemox, which is available via Amazon Fire TV, smart TVs, mobile devices, carries more than 60 Spanish-language channels and provides on-demand content including novelas, sport and children’s programming.

The channels’ addition follows Olympusat’s acquisition of 130 hours of programming, spanning wildlife shows, series and movies, from Austrian distributor ORF Enterprise.
