Spain’s TVG renews Wife Swap

Wife Swap has been adapted in 29 territories, including the US

Spanish regional pubcaster Televisión de Galicia (TVG) has renewed A Miña Familia Pola Túa, its adaptation of reality format Wife Swap, for a second season.

Each episode follows two spouses as they switch households. Aided only by an instruction manual left by their predecessor, they must spend the first week living according to the rules of the house, but in the second week are free to run the household as they see fit.

The series is produced by Banijay-owned DLO Magnolia alongside La Región Televisión, with the second season currently in pre-production.

The Banijay Rights-owned hit format has had 29 international remakes, including versions in Italy, the US and Australia.
