Marry Me Now came out of Armoza’s format competition

A South African lifestyle channel and a Belgian production company have become the latest to purchase Armoza’s Marry Me Now format.

Media 24’s Via TV will work on a South African version in Afrikaans, while the Butterfish Group has picked up the Belgian rights to the show and will pitch its version to broadcasters.

wild_thingsThe 60-minute format features a different woman each episode. Tired of waiting for her boyfriend to propose, she prepares her own wedding without the groom-to-be’s knowledge over the course of two days and then ambushes him on day three. If he says no, the relationship is all over, but if he says yes the pair marry immediately.
