Sky gives Iannucci’s Avenue 5 second run

NEWS BRIEF: Sky in the UK has renewed its sci-fi comedy series Avenue 5, created by Armando Iannucci (Veep), for a second season after a successful premiere on Sky1 and streaming service NOW TV.

A nine-episode first run premiered last month. The show, set 40 years into the future on board a space cruise ship, is coproduced with premium US cablenet HBO.
