Great British Walks (6×60′) will be produced in partnership with UK museum Tate Britain and will explore the origins of paintings from the likes of Constable, Powell Frith, Turner, Hogarth, Herman and Wallis.

It will be presented by British curator and cultural historian Gus Casley-Hayford and will feature appearances from Michael Sheen, Miriam Margolyes, Danny Baker, Cerys Matthews, Simon Callow and Richard E Grant.

“In each film we are art detectives in the magnificent company of well-loved British figures, undertaking epic journeys across the nation to discover paintings that hold a personal resonance for them,” said Phil Edgar-Jones, director of Sky Arts.

Creative industries financier Creative England has co-invested in the series and serves as executive producer, through its partnership with Sky.

7 Wonder was founded in 2014 by Liza Abbott, Alexandra Fraser and Simon Ellse and is backed by Australian broadcaster Network Seven. It produces series such as My Kitchen Rules and People’s History of Pop for Channel 4 and BBC4 in the UK respectively.
