Sky alum sharpens Red Arrow acquisitions

The distribution arm of German production firm Red Arrow Studios has hired a former Sky Vision exec to work on acquisitions.

Alex Fraser is joining Red Arrow Studios International in the newly created role of senior VP of acquisitions.

Based in London, Fraser will be responsible for international acquisitions and distribution deals spanning all genres.

He will also be tasked with developing new programming opportunities globally and leading Red Arrow’s London and Munich acquisitions teams, reporting to Henrik Pabst, the company’s president.

Fraser previously ran his own firm AMF Media Consulting, working with companies such as Bellum Entertainment in the US and Creative Content Media in Australia. Before that, he was head of acquisitions, scripted entertainment and North America, at Sky Vision, the international distribution arm of European satcaster Sky.

Red Arrow Studios International has seen a period of sustained activity since parent company ProSiebenSat.1 restructured at the end of last year.

In February, the firm teamed up with Canadian prodco Don Carmody Television for poaching-themed thriller Blood Horn, for which it will handle international distribution.
