Sixteen South adapts Lost My Name books

A second Lost My Name book is due next month

Belfast-based animation house Sixteen South Studios has partnered with the company behind the Lost My Name children’s books to develop them as an animated series.

Sixteen South will work with London-based Wonderbly, which publishes the personalised books, to create the 52×7′ series. It will be executive produced by Helen McAleer, former MD of Walker Books and founder of Walker Productions.

The show will be targeted at preschool children and aims to help them overcome the various challenges they face growing up.

McAleer, alongside David Cadji-Newby and Pedro Serapicos, Wonderbly’s co-founders and the duo who write and illustrate the Lost My Name books, will work with Sixteen South on the adaptation.

Wonderbly and Sixteen South will pitch the show to broadcasters later in the summer. The partnership is part of a long-term publishing and franchise strategy to develop the Lost My Name world. The second Lost My Name book is due out in July.
