Sigourney Weaver, Red Rock prep doc series

US science and natural history prodco Red Rock Films has teamed up with actress Sigourney Weaver for a wildlife documentary series.

Weaver (Alien, Ghostbusters) will both exec produce and narrate Wild World (working title), which will feature an extensive slate of nature-based documentaries.

The actress previously narrated Discovery Channel’s version of Planet Earth, the BBC nature documentary originally voiced by David Attenborough, and starred in Gorillas in the Mist, the 1988 movie adaptation of wildlife expert Dian Fossey’s autobiography.

No network has yet been disclosed.
