Shudder lines up Stan Lee’s Lucky Man

James Nesbitt stars in and exec produces Stan Lee’s Lucky Man

Horror-focused US SVoD service Shudder has acquired all three seasons of crime thriller Stan Lee’s Lucky Man.

Originally produced for Sky1 in the UK, the show is co-created by Stan Lee, Neil Biswas and POW! Entertainment. The production company is Carnival Films, part of NBCUniversal International Studios.

Richard Fell, James Nesbitt, who also stars, and Gareth Neame are executive producers. Stan Lee and Gill Champion are co-executive producers for POW! and the series is distributed by NBCUniversal Television and New Media Distribution in the US.

Based on an original idea from comic book writer Lee, Lucky Man follows DI Harry Clayton, a troubled cop from London’s notorious Murder Squad who is also a compulsive gambler in danger of losing his family. In the series, he discovers the power to control luck.

Alongside Nesbitt (The Hobbit Trilogy, The Missing, Cold Feet), the show features Amara Karan (The Night Of, The Darjeeling Limited, Kidnap and Ransom), Sienna Guillory (Fortitude, Resident Evil, Luther, Love Actually) and Stephen Hagan (Zoo, Risen).

Season one will launch on Shudder in November with season two following in December and season three in 2019.
