Active Shooter: America Under Fire looks at the impact of mass shootings

Showtime in the US has ordered an eight-part documentary series that explores mass shootings and their devastating consequences.

Active Shooter: America Under Fire uses first-hand perspectives from survivors and the families of victims to find out why such incidents occur and assess their impact.

The show is being executive produced by Eli Holzman (Undercover Boss, Project Runway) and Aaron Saidman (Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath) of The Intellectual Property Corp, as well as Star Price (Penn & Teller: Bullshit!), who serves as showrunner.

The series will debut on September 29 at 21.00ET/PT.
