Showtime slates three for Gay Pride

US cablenet Showtime will air three documentaries during June to mark Gay Pride month.

The docs will air back-to-back in primetime on Thursday June 7 from 19.00.

The first programme is the US premiere of Orchids: My Intersex Adventure from hermaphrodite filmmaker Phoebe Hart. She retraces her youth in Australia along with her sister who has the same condition and examines the effect it had on her family.

That will be followed at 20.00 by No Look Pass about Asian immigrant Emily Tay who plays for Harvard’s basketball team but hides her homosexuality from her parents.

Ultrasuede: In search of Halston follows at 21.30 focusing on the life of celebrity designer Roy Halston Frowick. The doc features celebrity interviews and never before seen footage of Halston’s rise to fame and fortune during the 1970s.
