Showtime for BBC comedy Back to Life

Daisy Haggard co-wrote and stars in Back to Life

US premium cablenet Showtime has picked up a comedy from the producers of Fleabag that aired earlier this year in the UK on the BBC.

Six-episode series Back to Life, created by Daisy Haggard (Episodes) and written by Haggard and Laura Solon, is produced by Two Brothers Pictures (Fleabag, The Missing, Rellik) for the UK’s BBC3, in association with All3Media International.

Haggard plays Miri Matteson, who returns home after 18 years in prison and stumbles back into adult life in the coastal town where she used to live. The series premiered on BBC3 and BBC1 in April.

Back to Life is exec produced by Two Brothers’ Harry and Jack Williams alongside Sarah Hammond, Haggard, Solon and Chris Sweeney. It will premiere on Showtime on October 6.
