Shaftesbury seeks online eyeballs

Canadian producer and distributor Shaftesbury has partnered with an Endemol Shine-backed digital distributor to bring its content to more VoD platforms.

Romantic comedy movie Dirty Singles

UK-based Momedia will repackage and distribute 37 hours of Shaftesbury’s movie and TV content in the UK, North America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The package includes romantic comedy movie Dirty Singles and all four seasons of comedy drama Life With Derek, which originally aired on Family in Canada.

Momedia currently oversees digital distribution of kids’ brands such as Transformers: Rescue Bots, Postman Pat and Noddy for clients including DreamWorks Classics and Hasbro Studios.

The company’s investors include venture capital investment firm ESRG and Endemol Shine Group.

The distribution campaign will also see MoMedia support the catalogue with social media marketing campaigns and promotional activity.
