SF Studios names TV drama chief

Scandinavian production and distribution company SF Studios has bolstered its TV division by appointing an exec from Nordic company Jarowskij as its head of TV drama.

Susann Billberg Rydholm

Susann Billberg Rydholm will be responsible for heading SF Studios’ development and production of TV series across SF Studios’ operations in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

SF Studios’ slate includes seven series across its production houses in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, with shows such as Seaside Hotel, Rita, The Lawyer, Alex and The Hunters.

Rydholm was most recently a senior producer at Jarowskij and has credits on shows including The Laserman and the movie adaptations of Stieg Larsson’s The Millennium Trilogy novels. She also recently worked on drama The Restaurant.

“SF Studios has grown into one of the leading producers of TV drama in the Nordics and I’m certain that Susann’s talents as both a leader and as a producer with deep experience will further strengthen that position,” says Tim King, exec VP of production at SF Studios.

Rydholm said that “after 18 years as an active producer, the time has come for me to try something new,” adding that she was “looking forward to using my experience in this exciting and challenging role.” She takes up the position in March, reporting to King.

In 2016, the CEO of Bonnier-owned SF Studios, was removed from his post following allegations of sexism and improper conduct.
