Seven’s All Saints fly into NZ

News from Australia’s Southern Star International includes a New Zealand deal for its nurses drama All Saints, plus a trip to Cannes for the man behind a certain garden gnome.

First, New Zealand’s Prime Television has bagged run-of-series rights to All Saints, an AFI and Logie-winning medical drama that has aired on Seven Network in Australia for the past eight years.

“This proven high quality television drama series is a very welcome addition to our schedule in 2005,” said Andrew Shaw, programming manager at Prime Television. Southern Star handles the international rights to the show as part of its worldwide representation deal with the channel.

Alongside All Saints, Southern Star will also be flying to MipTV in April with UK gardening guru and television personality, Alan Titchmarsh.

The Ground Force host supplies the voice to new BBC preschool series Gordon The Garden Gnome (52×11′), which has been produced by Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment.

Aimed at the 2-6 set, the toon has also presold to Cartoon Network US, TVO Canada and ZDF Germany. Gordon The Garden Gnome tells the story of Gordon Gnome and his daily adventures as a Gnome gardener, working alongside all his animal friends and Gnome neighbours.
