Series Mania, UGC link for Writers Campus

French drama festival Series Mania is bringing back its week-long writing workshop for 20 emerging TV drama writers throughout Europe after partnering with UGC, one of the largest cinema operators in Europe.

UGC Writers Campus by Series Mania (fka Series Mania Writers Campus) will be run under the editorial supervision of Lorraine Sullivan in partnership with Paris College of Art and the Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers after its inaugural edition this year.

The scheme will run March 20-27 as part of the Series Mania event in Lille, France. UGC has committed to sponsoring the English-language workshop for the next three years.

The call for applications from interested writers is now open here with a deadline of January 9, 2019. Candidates must have worked on a broadcast TV drama series or have graduated from a partner school.

Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director of Series Mania, said: “It has been designed as an incubator for the writers of tomorrow, where they can simultaneously develop their own projects and engage with industry executives.”
