Scripps lands HGTV in Korea

US media group Scripps Networks Interactive has expanded the reach of its home and lifestyle channel HGTV after agreeing a carriage deal in South Korea.

HGTV has launched in HD on KT Olleh TV and claims to be the firstregional channel dedicated exclusively to home and lifestyle in Korea.

Shows such as Property Brothers, Fixer Upper and House Hunters International from HGTV in the US, which launched in 1994, will all become available to subscribers.

HGTV first launched outside of North America in 2014 and is now available in nearly 60 countries and territories. It launched in Poland and New Zealand during 2016.
